I have been very involved with some other projects, namely the bit of acting I have been doing. When I get myself together a bit more, I will catch up with you properly. Meanwhile you can always find me here: http://friendfeed.com/kevinjhatton
Thank you Roger- what a thrill to be invited. Thankfully, I am blessed and do not live off beans in tin cans—I usually grow them. Speaking of that- today I finally planted my beans in my vegetable garden. It is late to be planting but due to environmental changes-, I find its best to plant my crops later in the season. I have been sooo busy I have not had a chance to do a thing here. I love to write and take pictures-of my gardens and my country peaceful life and will be uploading some – of my epiphanies’ and photos- soon! Again thank you for inviting me.
Roger,
You are absolutely correct, artists need a place to network. Thank you for your efforts and success with this site. I'm looking forward to reading what's going on in the lives of other creatives.
How's the writing coming along. While you are writing words, I am attempting to remember them!
Got this play coming up at the end of July. A new direction for me but it really fits me and I enjoy the challenge.
I suppose I should keep in touch by e-mail really, rather than all the other methods, such as FreindFeed, Twitter et al.
Might even be good to chat on skype one of these days!
Thanks! Nice thoughts for this network. I love to create but find it hard to sell. Would like to learn what other artists/writers/photographers/poets are doing with their work.
What do I require? I really don't know what to say. I just love to paint, especially when inspiration strikes. Selling, though, is another matter. I would love to sell more paintings but find it difficult and embarrassing to self-promote.

Hello Roger,
Yes, penniless indeed, the recession hit us all smack in the face! This is an interesting site, although new, compared to others. Right now I am on Facebook and was able to connect with some artists. A website focussed on artists only should be very interesting.
My question: What actually inspired you to do it? Are you an artist yourself, what medium?
Thanks and cheers,
Carolina
Just noticed your career pattern. Very interesting. Having been grounded from my painting lately, I have been doing some text work. International pianist and teacher, Alberto Portugheis, asked me to take from his copious writing what I would need to do a book.Nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2008, he is a peace seeker... his vision is extreme, challenging and interested me greatly. The resulting book, Dear Ahed, The Game of War and a Path to Peace will soon be available on Amazon - in his name, of course. I am currently making a book for him on the Spanish Composer Granados and then one about de Falla. Although I write myself, my creative work gets numbed by doing this kind of work for other people... you will know about that, I'm sure! My daughter writes for MacMillan/Palgrave and two of her children are budding ( and excellent) poets - so I get a fair amount of proofing to do as well. How nice it is to have this site to share thoughts. Thanks again for that bit of your creativity. Like others in your mail box, I have no real time for chat rooms, but this one is fascinating. Norma

I think this is a great effort for the sake of art and artists.
Thank you and congratulations !
