New Painting

Well, I've just added another painting to the site. That could be good or bad depending on one's point of view. It's called Modern Life and is just sort of a general comment about the nature of things as it exists today. It's not quite as frantic as the last piece but still kind of interesting. I also painted in a slightly different style than I usually do so that made things a little more entertaining. Doing things slightly differently than one is used to is really the only way to keep it interesting. I know I don't dislike the way I paint necessarily, but there are times I just need to feel like I'm still doing some growth rather than becoming totally stagnant. I'm sure there are others of you out there that may feel the same at some level. Of course, shaking the money tree becomes important too although I gave that up long ago. I just can't paint what other people want me to. Because of that here I am once more with a rather odd painting again; pretty non-commercially viable, but it satisfies something in my psyche. Life is full of choices. I just hope some of you might get a kick out of the piece. If not, I'll still keep doing what I do.
