Hello, Roger,
Just to let you know that my first book (ever) was just published. I am thrilled to bits. I am actually an artist and was not planning on writing but things happened. Anyway, you can read a description of my book at http://www.booklocker.com/books/4311.html or on my book site http://cynthiaangeles.com/.
Cheers,
Cynthia
Thank you for your kind welcome! The last time I heard anything about the battle of 1066 I think I was in primary school lol..
Congratulations on attracting so many arts people in such a short space of time, I will be sure to pass it on to my artist contacts also.
Regarding any help, well I have recently launched the sale of art prints from my website http://damoaharts.com/. I need as much help as I can get in promoting that, I do not have the budget for an advertising campaign or PR at the moment, so I am concentrating my efforts on internet marketing. I have written a blog post about what I have learned about internet marketing here: http://damoaharts.blogspot.com/
If you or anyone else could help or give me some advice, it would be much appreciated! I have also set up an affiliate programme to sell the prints. Anyone interested in joining can just message me and I will send details.
Roger, I sent this to Jon Tremaine:
From Murray Breen - mbartist@telus.net
I had an older windows 98 copy of Working Artist software.
They are still on web at http://www.WorkingArtist.com/
I never used it so I'm not sure how good it is? I have a PDF file on its' contents. I could email it to you if your interested. I would need your email.
I have not heard of that one. It must be very specific. I have only come accross more generic stock control and accounting packages. Perhaps Acces or Excel might suit your needs, without it having to be 'bespoke'
Regards
Kev

Hi Roger
Could you put out a question to all Arts for Arts Sake members, It would be much appreciated and the answer might be of use to other members!
my question is: Does any body know of Windows 'Stock Control' software package specific to running an artist business. (Selling originals and prints) This would also include suppliers, customer and Gallery database. I need a system that will keep me up to date of where my stock is, whats sold and who to! Any ideas?
I have been advised that a spread sheet is one solution, has anyone a template available?
Do you know of any images of the "Standing Man Flag" which was the standard of Harold at the Battle of Hastings? Also, Remember Harold had just come from the north from a victory against invading Norwegians.
