Penny Legg - New to this!

I have to confess that when Roger invited me to join Arts for Arts Sake I was not sure how it would take off and what benefit, if any, there would be for me to join. I seem to spend a lot of my time writing blogs or responding to Face Book, that I was not sure if I wanted any more. But, I liked the idea. A site for artists in the true sense of the word.

Let's face it, how many of us are complete mysteries to our family? My father asks how the 'little job' is going and my mother keeps asking me… Continue

Thanks for this swift reply Roger. It is appreciated and it is good to know that the SWWJ website is being looked at and the links used! Ever thought of joining? Gentlemen are accepted as Associate Members - just a thought. I get a lot out of my membership and, of course, the biggest advantage is being able to associate on a professional level with one's peers.
I will look at my page on Arts for Arts Sake when I get a moment and see what I can do to make it Penny's!
Best wishes
Penny

Hi Penny, I found you on the SWWJ site. I am in agreement as to the dirth of writers on the site and appreciate your assistance in this. You can also upload photographs etc or change the theme of your page. If you have any problems, let me know as I monitor the site regularly. I am very pleased to have you onboard. Roger

Welcome Aboard. I only started this site 9.00pm GMT Thursday 23rd October 2008 and I am proud to have so many artists join in such a short time. Now semi-retired, I live in Hastings on the South Coast of England, you know, Battle of Hastings, William the Conqueror, 1066 and all that.
It occurred to me that some sort of network was needed for artists, photographers, writers and poets to pool ideas, exchange views and promote their work. It is new and we will go along together, tell me what you require and we will see if we can do it. It is free; I know that artists are poor penniless souls working in lonely garrets, living on tins of cold baked beans, so I do not want to add to their worries. What I will do, as I have done before is to place the site in the view of art buyers, interior design companies and such like.
If you wish to change the theme/style of your page, click on change theme on the left hand side of your page. If any of your friends and relations are artists, writers, poets, sculptors, in fact anything artistic, let them know they would be most welcome to join the site. Once again, welcome aboard.
