I did a show in Boston a month ago . I never knew there were so many different ways to paint or sculpt a square . And that there would be so many folks looking for squares . What struck me most was that it didn't really matter what the artist was cr…
Well I do think there is too much emphasis on getting an art degree. It can impress & usually helps to get a job! However a true artist should be able to draw well - it's a basic discipline sadly lacking now.
Digital art and photography. I mainly work in digital and create my images from combining art, photography and computers. I work with photoshop and produce all the giclee images myself. My inspiration comes from poetry, music and the beautiful landscape of the South West of England.
I hope you enjoy my images and if they have made you smile I have succeeded :) I am not a full time artist but art is my passion and obsession.
All questions and comments would be warmly welcomed, I look forward to hearing from you :)
All artwork is for sale so if you are interested in any of the images please contact me or see my webpage: www.photofusions.co.uk. I also sell my work through www.minigallery.co.uk. Best wishes Julie.
Julie, I have just looked at your photos. Beautiful... Your selection of colour reminds me of Middle Age oils with the brightest tones that glow. Sorry that I haven't gotten back to you sooner. Love, Shirley
Thanks for the encouragement. I am very confident about my work and know very well that my works will create waves in the art market. Just why am i searching for someone to guide me, i don't know why am i not believing in myself and moving ahead....it is i who can help and solve all my lives problems and give the right direction and push needed for my carreer. Sometimes it is Karma which decides our destiny and i believe if you do good it will come back to you. Wish u all the best!
Rizwana.
Hi Julie,
I followed the links from the 'Is photography art?' discussion and from Norman Dilley's page, found yours - and that wrapped up the discussion nicely. In your hands at least, it is very much art.
Thank you, you did make me smile.
Vincent
I have had a look at your work and I love the way you are using some of Photoshop's features in a more artistic way, I particuarly like the use of the smudge tool on the white rose. Great stuff
