Representing Only The Best

In his Encyclopedia of Neuroscience Cytowic Richard explains that synesthesia means ?joined sensation?
(Greek syn = together + aisthesis = perception), where two or more senses are coupled. For instance
a voice, is not only heard, but is also felt, seen, or tasted.

For me there are different levels of a synesthetic experiences that can be triggered by reading or writing literary text, visaul art works and scultptures, always through the medium of music.

The overlapping sensations menifest themselves after using one or more of the following methods:

1. literal translation
2. Giving a hint as an allegorical explanation
3. Through symbolic explanation.

In these works there is free flow pen movemt to the sound. Either in the form of geometric plains or strokes.
These are excercises in sense perception rather than complete art works but nevertheless its a statement in visual grammer which is the purpose of synesthesia- the enhansment of textures in forms.
