Lisa..That is an interesting idea. I would be game to go for it IF we could find a way to actually get people to come. I still have had no luck in having people come to my website. At least if they come to it they aren't responding in any way. Does anyone have any ideas about publicizing an online sculpture show? Peter

Congrats Pete!
Glad you're getting some recognition for your fine work. What do you think of doing an on-line show of original pieces revolving around a specific idea? We could have them here as a group sculpture show. Let me know what you think.
Regards,
Lisa

I got back from Japan a few weeks ago..It was my second real trip there. What a treat. it was cherry blossom time and we looked at millions of blossoms, many temples and a lot of shrines. For me it is wonderful because the Japanese have a huge respect and love for natural materials. A zen garden can be made of rocks, a few plants and some gravel. Many homes have a particularly beautiful piece of wood by the front door or elsewhere. They really appreciate my work. So much so that I am having an exhibition there starting on March 30, 2010 for two weeks. It is at the Ishigawa International Salon in Kanazawa. You are all invited but will have to pay your own way. Check it out at http://www.ifie.or.jp/english/facilities/salon/index.html

Right now, I just wish I could spend more time making sawdust and less running around working in my day job. BUT I am off to Japan in 5 weeks and will enjoy the wonderful wood sculptures there...

hello fellow sculptors-
this is a beautiful refuge from commercialism, isn't it?
